Fremont vs. Bingham

We went to the Utah High School Football State Championship game to watch Kyle's Alma mator play in the final game.  We hung out with my sister-in-law's family and we had a blast.  Grant had fun sitting on his Aunt Sierra's lap.  It was a little cold, but thats football.  I enjoyed having someone to cheer for "personally."  Sierra's brother played like a champ.  Even though Fremont lost, it was still a great game.

More Halloween

Halloween always seems to bring bad weather.  It feels like it is nice the few days before, but the actual day is filled with rain, snow, wind, blizzard, or something of the like.  Rain was the winner this year.  We made it to the ward trunk-or-treat.  It is obvious from the pictures that we successfully convinced Grant it was cool to be Buzz (not to mention cheaper for mom and dad).

Grant and his best friend "The Ant".  The costume is amazing! I could never make something THAT cool.

The darling Buzz Lightyear!

Generation Gap

Tonight we went out to dinner at a little burger joint.  (It is like Kirt's in North Ogden.) They have pretty good burgers, fries and onion rings.  They had a Christmas tree in the dining room decorated with old records and 50's paraphernalia.   When we were looking at the decorated tree Grant start laughing and proceeded to ask us why the restaurant put movies on their Christmas tree.  Kyle and I looked at each other, grinned, and decided to agree that is was silly to movies on the tree.

Pumpkin Walk

I know halloween was more than a month ago, but I thought I should still post up some pictures.  Our family loves going to the Pumpkin Walk in North Logan.  I am amazed at what people can do with a gourd. Grant loves Toy Story and Jessie is one of his favorite characters. (more so than Woody)

Grant has learned how to smile for pictures.  You will see this face a lot now.

The Flinstones

Ariel for Evy

Mike!  We love Mike too!

Oh, and Horton.  Don't forget about Horton.

"Jessie, Buzz and Woody"
a.k.a Kyle, Grant and Lee

Buzz

Grant also likes Mickey Mouse Clubhouse!

He thinks this is Handy Manny.
Yes, we watch a lot of t.v. Yes, I know we shouldn't. BUT, it keeps me sane.

"Sleeping Beauty and Prince Charming"
a.k.a. Cindy and Don

The Fam

Grant and his cute "cheese"

Blue!

Grant got a blue sucker at a store.  Not only was the sucker yummy, but it was super cool because it turned his tongue blue!

Money To Burn

Money to BurnMoney to Burn by James Grippando
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

The idea of identity theft seems to be a topic on a lot of authors' minds. Probably because it is becoming a more common daily occurrence.  I liked the characters of this book.  James Grippando did an excellent job keeping the ending from the reader.  I loved how everyone felt like a villain except for the real villains.  I was floored at the end.  I would highly recommend this book.  I don't remember any swearing or sex.

Halloween Update

So Grant still wants to be Emperor Zurg for Halloween, but mom can't afford it.  The costumes are going for about $80 on ebay.  It is just not worth it to me.  I am going to borrow a friend's Buzz costume.  Grant has yet to touch the thing!  He doesn't want to have anything to do with it.  I don't think it has anything to do with the fact it is not Zurg I just think it is the fact that my child doesn't ever want to change clothes.  He would be perfectly content to stay in the same outfit for a week at a time.  Silly boy!
