Don't Eat The Mud

I went to get Grant from daycare today and his teacher told me this funny story.
This afternoon the kids had chocolate pudding and crackers for snack.  Grant told his teacher he would like some crackers, but didn't want to eat any of the yucky mud.

No Time Left

No Time LeftNo Time Left by David Baldacci
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This an enjoyable quick read.  I thought it was very fun.  I predicted the ending, but it didn't matter because it was so short any way.  This is a fun read!  No sex and no swearing.

One Summer

One SummerOne Summer by David Baldacci
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

David Baldacci didn't disappoint with One Summer!  It is a different style from his usual books, but it is well written.  It reminded me a little of Nicholas Sparks, but a lot better.
I think Mickey was my favorite character. She was a classic teenage girl with an attitude.  David must have had a teenage daughter because he wrote Mickey so well!
This is a quick short read and moves really fast.  It is thought provoking and makes you ponder what you would do if you were given a second chance at life.
No sex and no swearing.

Memoirs of a Geisha

Memoirs of a GeishaMemoirs of a Geisha by Arthur Golden
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I really enjoyed this book.  I haven't read this sort of autobiography in a long time!  It was very well written.  I thought the story was absolutely fascinating.  I loved hearing such a personal story.  I love World War II books and this was an interesting take I haven't heard before.  It wasn't really all about WWII, but it was certainly a part of the story.  I would recommend this book.
No sex and no swearing.

11.22.63

11.22.6311.22.63 by Stephen King
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

I had a really hard time getting into this book.  I am not sure exactly when, but I was at least a good 200 pages into this book before it started to appeal to me.  Personally, that is too long.  I stopped reading this book for a while, but a friend told me it got better so I picked it up.   In the end I liked it.
I found it very thought provoking.  The whole concept of traveling back into time to save JFK only to find out you change other parts of the past for the worse.
Overall I would recommend this book with one heads up.  There is some sex and violence scenes, but not explicit.  The one four letter word I can't stand is repeated profusely at the beginning and towards the end.  It sort of felt like Stephen King forgot about the explicit word during the meat of the story, but then the story was wrapping up and he thought, "oh yeah I forgot to meet my personal quota of f-words."
