The "GOG"

On Sunday we took the kids outside to enjoy the warm weather. We let Bear, my brother's hunting dog, out to run around the yard. Grant and Evelyn enjoyed watching Bear. After Bear wore himself out chasing tennis balls he sat on the grass to catch his breath. Grant decided he liked Bear and wanted to get close to pet him.

Now Bear is not a very small dog and I was actually sort of surprised that Grant wanted to get so close. Grant was petting Bear when he jumped up and gave Grant a big slobbery dog kiss. Grant had dog slobber all over his face and could barely open his eye.

Grant didn't like it much but it must not have bothered him too much because next time Bear laid down Grant went right over to him to pet him again. This is when Grant decided that Bear was like his rocking horse at home and swung his leg over Bear's back so he could ride him. Grant was just all giggles. He was bouncing up and down saying "gog" over and over again.

This is about the point when Evy got mad that Grant was riding Bear and she was not. So she drags Grandpa over to Bear so she can have a turn. I think Bear liked the attention. I know Grant and Evy sure enjoyed the day with the "gog."
