We celebrated the bringing in of 2012 with the Maybury family! On New Year's Eve we played games and went out to eat. At midnight we lit off a whole bunch of aerial fireworks. One was called "Wake up the Dead" and guess who liked it! Grant! Now every time we watch a Disney movie we hear, "look it's wake up the dead!" He has told his preschool teacher, primary teacher, and even random people in the store all about a firework called "Wake up the Dead." If I had known it was going to be so popular I would have taken a picture or video of it.
After the fireworks we went inside and made toasts. Grant thought it was a little weird that we all kept clunking glasses. He was also a little wary of the bubbly we put in the glass. His toast was to be 5 years old this year. Other toasts included a new job, new house, a wedding, and happiness.
