I think historical fiction is my new favorite genre!
I really enjoyed this book.  It was an easy read and kept me intrigued the whole time.  The author did a great job with the depth of the characters and their personalities.  I have to admire the strength of John and his sweet bride.  I also loved the depth of character his daughter Mary had.  I loved all the characters!  They each had such different strengths and added so much to the story.
This book was very clean.  Some reference to sex after the two weddings in the story, but nothing explicit.  No swearing or bad language.
